The Local Galleria's creation was inspired by owner Teri McLaren who wanted to bring to life a venue that not only showcased the amazing talent of Teton Valley but also inspired others to create. Teri studied art and design at The Art Students League and The Fashion Institute of Technology, both in New York, N.Y. Teri later went on to gain another degree from the University of Idaho in Psychology. In 2010 the first store was established and within 3 years needed to expand into what is now a 4,000 square foot retail store and painting studio servicing thousands of customers and hundreds of art students annually! The motto is "To Create Is To Celebrate Life!"
